My fingers are crossed for an impromptu flash mob in the library. Maybe I could start one? I’m caught up with Britain’s Got Talent; surprisingly it was keeping me on track to have it running in the corner of my screen while I read up on the Druze in Israel. Now I’m awfully distracted by social media and finding an awesome playlist to accompany my nth all nighter in the library. After sleeping all day, I feel compelled to do something productive with my time.
In other news - Avengers Assemble was as awesome as the hype made it out to be. I shall hopefully see it at least one more time in the cinema. I got to see the extended trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman, which I am ridiculously excited for (especially considering it stars Kristen Stewart).
A new Sookie Stackhouse novel has been released, and I’ve also discovered that I have three Trudi Canavan books to catch up on, something to look forward to following the void which will open up once I finish with university. Which just could not come sooner at the moment.

When you’re at school/work, and can get distracted by literally anything
Perfect soundtrack for the library. Surprising how thought provoking studying can actually be, the ability of your mind to simultaneously read, write and ponder the deep and meaningful.

I’ve never been surrounded by so much black leather. The crowds at work are an interesting bunch. So grateful I landed a job at the University of Manchester Students’ Union and the Academy. Not so much of a fan of working a triple shift. I’m just an awesome member of the team though, clearly. A lovely Russian man tipped me £2 however, which, even on the bars would be surprising, let alone in the cloakroom!
The “FEAR” has set in, that impending sense of doom which fuels the panic and adrenaline when the dreaded “d” word is mentioned (deadline T minus 14 days and counting). After working for 12 hours, I will be taking myself to the library — honestly, it’s only the life of a final year student where someone in their early twenties would be found in the library at 11:30pm on a Friday evening rather than in a club.
As much as I am looking forward to joining society, and never having to write another essay unless I commit the sadist act of going for a Master’s, I will miss the moments of bliss to be had rolling in to your duvet at 3pm on a weekday with nowhere to be or responsibility to be had.
